Okay, so the replacement for Mark Teixeira is Eric Hosmer of the Royals. While Hosmer had a sophomore slump last season and certainly isn’t a sexy name to replace Teixeira, he has been having a good spring, is a veteran of some previous Team USA teams when he was an amateur and when he played in the minors, and, unlike some of the other possible replacements, was in Arizona already, so he would arrive in time to get some work in with the team before games begin.
