Miguel Cabrera is good at baseball. We all know this, but when he gets 2 HRs and 6 RBIs like he did yesterday in the 17-2 Tigers rout over the Astros, we are reminded of it. It’s his second MVP of Yesterday this season.
MVP Standings after the jump:
Gene Mauch:
“I’m not the manager because I’m always right, but I’m always right because I’m the manager.”

Drew Stubbs went 4-5 and had the game-winning RBI with his extra-innings double to give the Indians a 7-6 victory over the Twins.
MVP Standings (after jump):
A little bit of Stengelese tonight:
There are three things you can do in a baseball game. You can win, or you can lose, or it can rain.

Going 3-4 with 2 RBIs and a walk, Denard Span is the MVP of Yesterday. According to Fangraphs, Span had the best WAR (Wins Above Replacement) and the third best Win Points Added amongst hitters yesterday, as he paced the Nationals to a 3-1 victory over the Braves.
MVP Standings after the jump:
Nolan Ryan:
“It helps if the hitter thinks you’re a little crazy.”
