If you missed last night’s WBC news, go here. For the stuff from overnight, go below the jump:
Korea’s offense is still… well… offensive. They managed only one run in a 2-1 loss to NC Dinos, their second loss to the KBO team.
Japan, meanwhile, was nearly given a surprise by Team Australia: The Baseballroos were able to lead until late in the warm-up game, when a 8th inning Ryoji Aikawa homer gave Japan a 3-2 lead. Justin Huber and Mike Walker had the RBIs for Australia.
The Netherlands lost to a team of Taichung University All-Stars, 10-5. The Major Leaguers will be arriving for the Dutch this weekend. Interestingly, however, Dutch bench coach Brian Farley has had to leave the team for personal reasons. Robert Eenhorn will take over for him on the bench.
No idea what’s going on with China and Cuba today. Actually, I have no idea what Team China has been doing the last few days, period. If anybody has any idea, let me know.
Come back later for more WBC news and results for WBC-bound players in Spring Training games.
