David Wright and Robinson Cano will be the captains for the HR derby, each picking three from their league to participate in this year’s Derby. In theory, they can choose whoever they want, although I wouldn’t be surprised if MLB makes some heavy suggestions and would block if Robinson Cano picked a pitcher to participate, or something.
But, anyway, who should Cano and Wright pick?

Adam Dunn is the MVP of Yesterday, having gone 4-4 with a walk in yesterday’s game against Toronto, going deep twice and racking up 5 RBIs in the win.

The MVP of yesterday is Dan Uggla, who only had two hits in his two official at-bats (he walked the other times)… but those two hits were HR.

Sorry for the sparse updates this weekend- I’ve been having some computer problems. Anyway, the MVP of Yesterday is Kevin Slowey, who went 7 innings in relief and got the win in the 20-inning marathon victory of the Marlins over the Mets yesterday. He gave up 8 hits and struck out 8, but was able to hold the Mets scoreless, allowing the Marlins to eventually win it.
