More WBC news that has come out (or that I just found) since earlier:

• Buster Posey is out, but there are other members of the Champion Giants playing in the WBC. There’s the previously mentioned Ryan Vogelsong, but also Jeremy Affeldt (who joins an increasingly deep USA bullpen) and maybe Sergio Romo (who would pitch for Mexico if he accepts the invitation).
• Fernando Rodney will pitch for the Dominican Republic and basically said that there was nothing anybody was going to be able to do to stop him.
• Brian T. Smith of the Houston Chronicle says that, amongst other Astros, Jose Altuve will be playing in the WBC. He’s Venezuelan.
