So, I’ll admit, I’ve been slacking lately. But, that’s about to change. Here’s a schedule for this coming week:
MONDAY: “Wisdom and Links”
TUESDAY: WBC Update
WEDNESDAY: A look at the 1919 World Series and whether the White Sox REALLY were the big favorites people say.
THURSDAY: “Death To Copy-Pasted Minor League Team Names: Part 1”
FRIDAY: “Death to Copy-Pasted Minor League Team Names: Part 2”
And, of course, there will be the MVP posts.
Keep an eye open!
Tuesday’s MVP was Lorenzo Cain and his 3 HRs. Wednesday, however, is a super-easy one: Max Scherzer. I mean, he only tied the record for SOs in a 9-inning game!
Standings, as always, after the jump:
Four hits. Two homers, Six RBIs. Todd Frazier paced the first-place White Sox as they defeated the Rangers, and is the MVP of Yesterday.
Standings, as always, after the jump:
The MVPs of the weekend, in order, were: Ben Zobrist, Aaron Hill (sorry, Bartolo) and Steven Wright.

A short-but-sweet “Wisdom and Links” celebrating Bartolo Colon is now up at the Hall of the Very Good!

Masahiro Tanaka pitched a gem yesterday, striking out seven and allowing five hits in eight scoreless innings against the Orioles. Sadly for him, though, Kevin Gausman was nearly as good, and eventually Baltimore won in the 10th. But he is still the MVP of Yesterday!
Standings after the jump:
Well, I forgot to post yesterday, so I’ll keep this quick and tell you that the MVPs of Tuesday and Wednesday were, in order: Justin Smoak and Carlos Correa.
Standings, as always, after the jump:
Mike Trout went 4-5 with a HR and 3 RBIs… but he wasn’t good enough to lead the Angels to victory. Still, he’s the MVP of Yesterday… sorry Bartolo.
