Well, due to some things getting in the way, I won’t have a Bizarre Baseball Culture up by tomorrow. Instead, it’ll be later in the week.
However, I am willing to give you a preview: It is a comic about Spider-Man and Ghost Rider (both conveniently in Toronto) helping a Blue Jays fan who has been hit by a drunk driver.
I’m hoping it’ll be up by the end of the week.
In the works: a new Bizarre Baseball Culture featuring the Amazing Spider-Man. Look for it by next Tuesday.
After being distracted for a bit, I’m changing up my schedule- expect an “Avengers”-themed Bizarre Baseball Culture by this time next week at the latest.
Due to the good reason of… I haven’t finished it yet… the Bizarre Baseball Culture for this week has been delayed, probably until tomorrow night.
A new Bizarre Baseball Culture is coming either later today or early tomorrow…
So, I know I didn’t end up putting my “no explanations given” predictions last Friday, but I swear I am not falling back into one of my long hiatuses. In fact, I have a few things in the works.
These are just things I have in the works- there is nothing stopping me from just writing something spur of the moment, as I did with the Mike Trout and trout post.
DEFINITELY coming this week:
- “No explanations given” predictions for the 2019 MLB season
PROBABLY coming this week:
- A “Bizarre Baseball Culture” look at a public domain comic
IN EARLY APRIL:
- Updated versions of my Shazam/Captain Marvel “Bizarre Baseball Cultures” in honor of the release of the Shazam! movie.
- A “Famous for Something Else” installment
IN MID APRIL:
- A “Bizarre Baseball Culture”-adjacent post
IN LATE APRIL:
- Probably an Avengers-related “Bizarre Baseball Culture”
So, yeah… stuff is in the works.
In Bizarre Baseball Culture, I take a look at some of the more unusual places where baseball has reared it’s head in pop culture and fiction.
And in the coming days, it returns from nearly a two year hiatus with a comic-book tale from the 1950s…
I have two things in the pipeline: an Out of the Park Baseball post, and some thoughts on how baseball can be better.
Coming in 2018: The true return of the Baseball Continuum.
No, seriously. Well, sort of.
You see, the reason for the Baseball Continuum in the first place was that I was unemployed. So I had a ton of time and nowhere to write (outside of the occasional freelance gig).
But for the last, oh, year and a half… I’ve had a job. And I’ve been busy doing it. So the amount of free time I have went downwards. And so the amount of time I had for the blog also went downwards. Eventually I basically stopped doing anything on it.
However, next year, I want to try again. It won’t be daily, but I’m hoping I can maybe get something up at least once a week, or failing that once a month.
So get ready.
It has been awhile, but soon, the Baseball Continuum will return….
